Alcohol Sales Representative

PepsiCo recently entered a business relationship with Boston Beer Company and FIFCO USA, where Boston Beer will develop and manufacture a new flavored malt beverage HARD MTN DEW and FIFCO to manufacture LIPTON HARD ICED TEA. As part of the business arrangement PepsiCo has set up a new entity, Blue Cloud Distribution, Inc. (BCD) for wholesale operations of the product including selling, delivering, and merchandising the product. We are looking for talented and passionate team members to join our BCD team!

As part of the GTM (Go-To-Market) & Sales Field Leadership Team supporting this business collaboration you will support the sales and distribution of HARD MTN DEW and LIPTON HARD ICED TEA within your specific field territory which will include ownership of the field sales and operations to ensure market penetration of this exciting new product.

As an Alcohol Sales Representative, you will cultivate and grow account relationships to maximize the sales of HARD MTN DEW and LIPTON HARD ICED TEA. Through effective planning, selling execution and communication you will advance PepsiCo's journey into this exciting new space as Blue Cloud Distribution. You will act as the primary store-level sales, delivery, and merchandising person progressively servicing up to a potential 200+ accounts. Position requires the following (to be completed with or without a reasonable accommodation): lifting and loading cases weighing from 20-45 pounds repeatedly over an 8-12 hour work period. Position also requires standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, and squatting while merchandising product and requires unloading pallets of product from a delivery truck utilizing an electric pallet jack or hand truck. Position works across a wide variety of weather conditions.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Execute a daily schedule of account visits within assigned sales territory

* Prospect new business to increase revenue and distribution within route territory

* Anticipate and forecast consumer demand and manage truck inventory

* Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to meet goals to increase market share, space allocation and customer service

* Ensure maximum marketability within accounts by utilizing effective display position, display pricing signage and current point of sale materials where appropriate

* Execute brand visibility via establishing key shelf placement, signage and use displays/point of sale items

* Assist retail execution via surveying market, identifying opportunity for ad features, current trends etc.

* Manage all administrative requirements as well as the execution and tracking of all local initiatives

* Educate buyers on brand by communicating brand portfolio and tasting profiles

* Communicate and follow through on issues deemed important to management, our customers, and suppliers

* Ensure all required customer documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner

* Develop and grow your brand, market, and industry knowledge to promote sales more effectively

* Communicate and coordinate merchandising tactics to accounts and support merchandising activities

* Adhere to all state and local alcohol related legislative requirements (training provided)

* Report on issues related to the competitive market and offer constructive suggestions

* Safely operate large, commercial motor vehicles in a variety of operating areas and conditions. (training provided)

* Training on all aspects of position and skills needed is provided. Blue Cloud Distribution highly values training, continued education and promoting personal and professional growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be at least 21 years of age

* Must possess a valid Driver's License

* Must be able to bend and lift 20-45lbs

* The role involves safely operating a small Commercial Motor Vehicle (under 10,000 lbs; D10K or Sprinter Van, depending on location); valid Driver's License and valid DOT Medical Card required (Direction to acquire will be provided)

* Must be able to meet and maintain all company compliance and conformance expectations including but not limited to possessing adequate vehicle licensing credentials, satisfactory driving record, and medical qualifications

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

* Proficient in PC, iPad, and MS Office Programs

* 2 Years account selling experience, beverage industry experience preferred

* Experience with alcohol sales a huge plus, but not required. Will train on industry

For positions that require use of a personal vehicle for a sales route, mileage reimbursement is provided.
