Tour the shops of Glasgow's Braehead shopping centre as they were 20 years ago
Braehead, like all shopping centres in the Greater Glasgow area, has changed considerably over the past 20 years - not least for the selection of its shops.
For the best part of 25 years, Braehead has been one of the busiest shopping centres in the Greater Glasgow area.
First opening in September 1999, the huge Renfrew site and its accompanying 4,000-seater arena has welcomed millions of visitors through its doors down the years and will likely continue to do so for many years to come.
But Braehead, like all shopping centres in and around Glasgow, has changed considerably over the past couple of decades - not least for the selection of its shops.
Back in 2003, the bright and breezy shopping and entertainment complex boasted more than 100 different outlets - many of which have since been replaced or are no longer trading.
Using the Wayback Machine internet archive, we're able to peer back through time and visit the shopping directory on the official Braehead website as it was 20 years ago. Hopefully the following list will stir a few fond memories for many locals.
