This family dairy farm is challenging households to take a milk taste test
What's Fresh delivers high-quality bottled milk to customers' doorsteps within a five-mile radius of its on-site dairy
With countless brands to choose from on supermarket shelves, finding good quality, fresh milk may be harder than it looks. As Scottish farmers struggle to negotiate a fair price with retailers, customers can do more to support their local dairy farm.
Based in the outskirts of East Kilbride, What's Fresh is a family-owned dairy business located at Park Farm, which prides itself on providing families with great-tasting milk and a variety of locally sourced produce. What's Fresh is encouraging shoppers to take the fresh milk taste challenge and try a bottle of Park Farm's delicious cow's milk to experience the difference for themselves.
Households local to South Lanarkshire can sign-up online for weekly deliveries of fresh milk to their doorstep in re-useable one-litre glass bottles. But that's not all.
As well as whole, skimmed or semi-skimmed milk, the business delivers fruit juices, free-range eggs, double cream and oat milk too. Customers can subscribe via the website for deliveries to their door in time for breakfast.
Despite only launching their delivery service in July 2022, What's Fresh has already received over 150 five-star reviews on Google. The business also delivers to hotels, coffee shops and offices in the local area and is proud to be part of the Lanarkshire Larder food group, as well as the sole supplier of authentic Scottish milk for Equi's ice cream.
Ross Neilson, director of What's Fresh says: "We believe ourselves to be the only dairy business in the area that delivers milk to local doorsteps in East Kilbride sourced exclusively from our farm and nowhere else. Park Farm has invested in the latest farming technology and our cows are milked by robots which also monitor the health of the animals and how much milk they have been producing."
"That milk travels meters to fill our bottles and customers can have it delivered to their front porch the morning after. We believe that our milk is much fresher than what many find on supermarket shelves, which can be three or four days old before it's taken home by shoppers."

Park Farm is home to just over 400 cows which produce roughly 14,000 litres of milk on a daily basis. What's Fresh believes that the happiness of its cows hugely impacts the quality of milk the farm produces, and that's why the animals often receive as little human interaction as possible.
After a cow has visited the milking robot, the milk travels only a short distance to the farm's on-site dairy. Here it's pasteurised and bottled into one-litre re-useable glass bottles to help reduce waste, making What's Fresh a more environmentally-friendly option.
Depending on their location, customers can get fresh milk delivered to their homes either every Monday and Thursday or every Tuesday and Friday. They can manage their order quantities online and opt out of the service at any time with no fee for sign-up, delivery or cancellation.
Customers can find a rich and creamy flavour in each bottle of milk from What's Fresh which many supermarket brands can't compete with, delivered by local drivers right to their doorstep. Since What's Fresh manages all deliveries independently, Park Farm can sell milk to customers for an affordable price without compromising on great taste and the quality of the milk.
What's Fresh prides itself on the traceability of Park Farm's milk and locals are welcome to visit the farm and see the cows, dairy and operations throughout the year during regular open days. More details about upcoming events can be found online or on the business's Facebook page.
