NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. — North Kansas City police say two people have died Friday after a shooting that investigators believe is a case of domestic violence.

NKC police said officers and the city's fire department were called to the area of E. 11th Avenue and Fayette Street just after 10 a.m. where they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Medics took the victim and potential suspect to the hospital where they both later died from their injuries.

FOX4 confirmed the shooting happened at a warehouse. A manager told FOX4 one of the people killed was an employee. The business wasn't open at the time, according to police.

Workers in that area told FOX4 they could hear police and paramedics working around 10 a.m. The warehouse is operated by Disabled American Veterans.

An employee at that nonprofit said one of the people killed there was an employee, but the other was not.

That warehouse is used to store trucks used by Red Racks Thrift stores, and other items to be donated to the City Union Mission.

FOX4 reached out to Disabled American Veterans headquarters in Kentucky, but that group's spokesperson had no comment on Friday.

If you have information that can assist police, please call the North Kansas City Police Department.

This is a developing story. Check back with FOX4 for updates as we confirm more details.
